Our Team
Richard Bienenfeld Architect, PC, founded by Richard Bienenfeld in 1978, is a medium-sized, full-service architectural firm located in New Rochelle, NY, just outside of New York City. The firm is comprised of a core of architects, designers, detailers, code experts, drafters and administrative personnel. During the past five years, the firm has been providing the service as “Executive Architect” in support of projects designed by some of the best-known national and international design firms.
The firm has broad experience in a spectrum of building types over the past 40 years. We truly believe that our profession is best practiced through strategic collaboration of diverse professionals with a broad range of talent and expertise.
Richard Bienenfeld, AIA
Founding Principal
Richard Bienenfeld completed his academic training in 1971, receiving a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from Syracuse University.
Since his graduation he has enjoyed a multi-faceted career as an architect, practicing principally in the New York City Metropolitan area. He is a member of the NCARB and has been licensed and practiced broadly across the United States. Mr. Bienenfeld is a Corporate Member of the American Institute of Architects. His projects include municipal buildings, institutional buildings, corporate interiors, individual and multi-family residences, schools, office buildings, religious edifices, and health care and elder care facilities.
As a project leader who has five decades’ expertise in every aspect of the practice of architecture, including building design, construction document production, building systems and technology, and client interaction, Mr. Bienenfeld brings a well-rounded and deeply-founded understanding of the broad and profound demands of the profession and its clientele.
Sam Feigenbaum, AIA
Associate Principal
Sam Feigenbaum graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology. He has been working in the field of Architecture for over two decades, joining Bienenfeld Architecture in 2007.
Practicing in the Tri-State area, he is a member of the NCARB, a licensed architect and member of the American Institute of Architects. Sam has a versatile set of skills and vast experience in all manner of project types and scopes. His projects include educational, mixed-use, religious buildings, single and Multi-Family residential and health care. He has worked on a broad range of projects utilizing and developing all aspects of architecture.
With an understanding of the past and sense of the future, Sam is able to use his knowledge of design, planning, codes and technology to bring projects from start to finish. From concept design to construction documents he brings a well-rounded understanding of the profession of architecture to his projects.
